Skandia UK more than doubles net inflows in first quarter

Skandia UK has registered a 150% rise in net inflows in the first quarter compared to last year, which it attributes to the popularity of its fund platform and Spectrum range.

Skandia UK took £500m net new money in by 31 March this year, and grew its assets by 7% compared to the previous quarter. It now has £30.3bn of assets under management. Sales of mutual funds grew by 116% to £796m compared to this time last year, and its sales of Isa products rose 181%. During the quarter, Skandia's risk-rated Spectrum funds of funds topped £500m aggregate assets. Skandia is pulling about £6m a week into these products, compared to £4m each week 12 months ago.
