Miton's Gray joins board of Midas

Miton Asset Management managing director Martin Gray has been appointed a director of Midas Capital with immediate effect.

Gray was previously a director of iimia MitonOptimal, but stepped down in March 2008 following the acquisition of Midas Capital Partners. The manager of the popular CF Miton Special Situations and CF Miton Strategic Portfolio funds, Gray owns 1.69m ordinary shares (2.42%) in Midas and has options for a further 1.15m shares under the group's Management Incentive Plan. He was today awarded a further 1m options for ordinary shares, at an exercise price of 25p per share. Midas' share price at close on Tuesday was 16p.
