First State's head of global resources David Whitten is leaving to take a career break after 13 years at the group.
Joanne Warner, who runs the £700m Global Resources fund, will take over the role from Whitten when he departs on 30 June. She has worked in Whitten's team for 12 years. Whitten joined First State in 2007 as part of its move into global resources, launching and running the retail and wholesale funds until 2006 when Warner took over. The team has recently expanded with the launch of retail and institutional versions of an Agribusiness fund.
