Prudential has refuted suggestions Fidelity called for its management to quit over its failed Asian takeover bid.
Weekend reports said Fidelity was calling for the resignation of chairman Harvey McGrath. However a Prudential spokesman has told Reuters: "The meeting between Fidelity and (Prudential) chairman Harvey McGrath has been a cordial, open and considered exchange of views. "In particular, and contrary to recent widespread media speculation, no specific resignations were called for."
