Neptune has added a new high conviction UK equity fund for analyst Nicola Muirhead.
The Neptune UK Alpha fund will consist of about 30-40 stocks taking large weightings in sectors and companies identified by the group's central in-house research capabilities. Muirhead becomes the fifth member of the Neptune investment team to be managing UK equities, which spans a range of market capitalisations and disciplines. She also is the deputy manager on Alex Breese's UK Special Situations and Mark Martin's UK Mid Cap funds. Neptune also has two further UK equity mandates, Robin Geffen's £1.28bn Income fund and Jeremy Smith's UK Equity portfolio.
