Barings' head of Asia Pacific investments has left the firm as it continues to restructure its Asian business.
Henry Chan left the group two weeks ago and Barings is now recruiting for the new role of CIO Baring Asset Management Asia. In the meantime, managing directors in its Asia unit will report directly to head of global equities Tim Scholefield. A spokesperson says: "We have been restructuring our Asia business by recruiting some news expertise. "We wanted to build on that by bringing in some new leadership to take the business to the next level."
