Co-head of asset management leaves BNY Mellon

Mitchell Harris has become the sole interim head of BNY Mellon's asset management business following the departure of Jon Little, formerly a co-head of the business.

Little is leaving to pursue other opportunities in the financial services industry, the group says. Harris will continue as chairman of the firm's fixed income, cash and currency division, which manages $500bn (£322bn) of assets. BNY Mellon says it is searching for a permanent head of asset management, and is considering both internal and external candidates.
