Pictet to launch thematic environmental trends fund

Pictet Funds is launching an environmental fund based on its thematic approach to investing.

Environmental Megatrend Selection will invest in four of the group’s existing thematic funds – Water, Clean Energy, Timber and Agriculture. Asset allocation is split one-third each to water and clean energy, and one-sixth each to energy, timber, and agriculture, with the portfolio rebalanced monthly. Philippe de Weck, lead manager of the £405m Clean Energy fund, will run the new vehicle, which is benchmarked against the MSCI World index.
