Marlborough hands EM trust to Ignis head of global funds

Ignis' head of global funds and asset allocation is to run Marlborough's new Emerging Markets trust.

James Smith will manage the new vehicle, one of five new funds it has added to its range with the acquisition of the UK investment arm of Sun Life Financial of Canada. Marlborough has also engaged two other external fund managers to run some of its new portfolios. Mirabaud CIO Jeremy Lodwick will run the European trust, while Jack Lemery and Paul Tryon of Boston-based Emerson Investment Management take over the North American trust.
