The Artemis Alpha and Gartmore Growth Opportunities investment trusts have reached an agreement to merge the two companies.
Subject to shareholder approval, the Gartmore Growth Opportunities will be merged into the £85.3m Artemis vehicle, effected through a scheme of reconstruction and winding up of GGO. The merger announcement comes just weeks after Gartmore Growth Opportunities served Gartmore notice of termination for the £54m fund's management after the departure of Gervais Williams.
