BlackRock bolsters fixed income team

Ian Winship has joined BlackRock as a senior portfolio manager on its sterling fundamental fixed income team.

Winship, who will report to head of sterling fixed income Paul Shuttleworth, joins from Brevan Howard where he was head of absolute return product. He was previously head of global rates at Aberdeen Asset Management. In his new role Winship will focus on sterling rates and developing the business in the UK. “We are excited Ian has joined the UK fundamental fixed income team. His wealth of experience not only adds to the depth and breadth of the BlackRock team, but also brings another dimension to the way we look at the opportunity set for UK clients,” says Shuttleworth.
