Janus Capital International has launched the Perkins Global Value fund, its second new offering in a month.
The fund is in the firm’s Ireland-domiciled range and is run by Gregory Kolb, who applied a similar value style of investment during his five years running the Janus Global Fundamental Equity fund. The Global Value product aims to beat its MSCI World benchmark while limiting losses over the market cycle. Kolb said: “We invest in securities with favorable risk/reward ratios, by focusing first on downside analysis, before determining upside potential.” The manager picks 70 to 100 high-quality companies trading below their highs, setting conservative upside and downside price targets....
