BlackRock Corporate Bond fund manager Daniel McKernan is leaving the company.
McKernan, who has managed the fund since April 2007, was also slated to manage the group's upcoming Strategic Bond fund, set to launch in Q1 2011. He has been replaced by Paul Shuttleworth, head of BlackRock's sterling bond portfolio management team, who managed the fund August 2004 to April 2007. McKernan plans to relocate back to Scotland to pursue a new role based in Edinburgh, after commuting to London for the past five years.
