Boutique investment manager Hume Capital is set to roll-out its first product to the retail market, the Global Opportunities fund.
The unconstrained Oeic will hold between 40 and 60 growth stocks with a large- and mid-cap bias, regardless of country or sector weightings. Benchmarked against the MSCI World index, the fund will target lower volatility than conventional equity funds and use risk management techniques to limit downside capture. Hume Capital founder Nitin Parekh will be lead manager, advising on strategy and asset allocation, while the day-to-day portfolio management will be executed by Stephen Dowds and Stephen Watson.
