Templeton says Mobius complying with market manipulation probe

Franklin Templeton has confirmed the Turkish regulator is investigating market manipulation claims against emerging markets guru Mark Mobius.

The group has issued a statement verifying the request for information on comments made by Mobius, which were blamed for driving down Turkish stocks three weeks ago, Reuters reports. "We can confirm that we have been contacted by the Capital Markets Board regarding a preliminary request for information related to certain statements reportedly made by Dr Mobius on October 26,” the statement reads.
