SWIP's Maddock to join Lazard

Tony Maddock, the head of wholesale at SWIP, is moving to Lazard Asset Management to lead the group's third party distribution.

Maddock replaces Charlie Wilson, who moved to Investec Asset Management earlier this month to head up the firm's UK retail distribution. Lazard Asset Management UK chief executive officer Bill Smith had temporarily taken over Wilson's responsibilities since his departure in July. SWIP says it is actively looking for a replacement for Maddock, with the group's director of sales and marketing John Brett assuming control of the wholesale team in the meantime.
