Matrix has hired Angus Woolhouse, head of global institutional business at Gartmore, as chief executive of its asset management business.
Woolhouse joins the £4bn diversified financials group on Wednesday in the newly created role. At Gartmore, as head of global institutional business, he was responsible for selling, marketing and distributing Gartmore's product range to large investors worldwide. Before that he was group marketing and product development director at Invesco UK. He has also worked at HSBC Asset Management, as general manager of commercial development in the Asia Pacific region.
