RCM expands GEM team

RCM, a subsidiary of Allianz Global Investors, has appointed Andres Allende as an Asian specialist in its global emerging markets team.

Allende joins from RAB Capital where he was in charge of the group's long/short GEM strategy. Allende will specialise in Asian countries and will be primarily responsible for research. Dilek Capanoglu, CIO of global emerging markets at RCM, says this latest hire demonstrates the ongoing expansion of the group's GEM capability. "Andres' appointment augments our Asian expertise and is a further example of our commitment to continue to expand our global emerging markets team, following the appointment of Carlos de Leon last year as a Latin America specialist," says Capanoglu.
