Skandia Investment Group has handed F&C's Peter Lees a £21m mandate for the group's UK Best Ideas fund, replacing Colin McLean of SVM Asset Management.
Lees, head of UK equities, has an 18% weighting in the fund alongside Schroder's Richard Buxton, BlackRock's Richard Plackett, Aegon's Audrey Ryan and Artemis' Jacob de Tusch-Lec, while OMAM's Dan Nickols makes up 10% of the fund. The fund is managed by Lee Freeman-Shor, Ryan Hughes and Francois Zagame. Freeman-Shor says Lees will prove to be a strong addition to the fund as he looks to profit from opportunistic investment ideas.
