SVG opens pair of funds to retail market

SVG Investment Managers has made its UK Focus and European Focus funds available to UK retail investors for the first time with a move to a FSA regulated format.

The SVG UK Focus fund, managed by Jamie Seaton and Adam Steiner, was first launched for institutional investors in 2003. The duo invest across the market cap spectrum to find alpha using an unconstrained investment approach. European Focus, which came to market in 2007, is managed by Andrew Goodwin. Goodwin invests across the EEA with a focus on value to find opportunities. Both Dublin-domiciled Oeics invest in focused portfolios of up to 35 companies, with the managers using a bottom-up approach to select holdings.
