Snowden to replace Roberts on two Aegon funds

Stephen Snowden will take on the co-management of Aegon's Investment Grade Bond and the Dublin domiciled Investment Grade Global Bond funds when he returns to the firm in July.

He takes on the role from co-head of fixed income David Roberts, who will continue to manage the Aegon Strategic Bond, Strategic Global Bond and Sterling Corporate Bond funds. Aegon announced the re-appointment of Snowden to its fixed income team last week. He will join from Old Mutual Asset Managers, where he managed its £747m Corporate Bond fund. He worked at Aegon running fixed income assets until 2004. His appointment comes as Aegon says it is looking to bolster its fixed income expertise into new markets including Europe.
