Schroders has appointed Kate Jones as head of investment services, to help develop its global investment management and research platform.
Jones, who joins from BlackRock where she was head of structured solutions portfolio management for Europe, will spearhead the development of the new platform. In the new role Jones, who previously had responsibility for portfolio management of liability driven investments and asset allocation, will report to Alan Brown, the group's CIO. The appointment follows last week's departure of Jonathan Armitage, the firm's head of US large-cap equities, who is leaving to return to Australia. He was co-manager of the Schroder ISF US All Cap, Global Equity Alpha, and Global Alpha Plus funds....
