Henderson Global Investors is set to unveil its EM currency portfolio, the Henderson Horizon Emerging Markets Currency fund, at the end of August.
Henderson’s Amsterdam-based currency team, headed up by Bob Arends, will manage the new portfolio, which will sit within the firm’s Luxembourg-domiciled Horizon SICAV range. The standalone emerging market currency product is based on the group’s existing global currency strategy fund, a UCITS III structure initially launched in 2008, which has a typical 30% exposure to EM currencies. The new fund will adopt the investment ideas of the currency portion of the fund.
