Man Group has launched a multi-strategy fund investing across a range of its own funds, and those of its subsidiaries including recently acquired GLG Partners.
The Man GLG Multi-Strategy fund is an open-ended UCITS fund buying into 10-15 underlying portfolios offered by Man and its subsidiaries, which also includes AHL. It will be managed by Luke Ellis, chief investment officer of Man's MM division. The management team will actively allocate to the strategies and group them into three core portfolio components - equity long/short strategies (50%-80%), risk seeking strategies (10%-35%) and diversifying strategies (5%-25%).
