L&G IM'S North on extended sick leave

David North, Legal & General Investment Management's head of asset allocation and high yield, has taken extended sick leave.

North, who runs the £2bn High Income fund and the £528m Diversified Absolute Return fund, will be on sick leave for an indefinite period. A spokesperson for L&G Investments revealed the High Income fund will be headed up in the interim by Claire McGuckin, who is a member of the fixed income team. The Diversified Absolute Return fund will be managed by Ben Gill, who is co-manager. "I can confirm that David North is on extended sick leave," said a spokesperson for the group.
