Aberdeen has appointed Henderson Extra Monthly Income Bond fund manager Ben Pakenham to help manage its range of high yield portfolios.
Pakenham, who will also focus on credit research work, will report to Paul Reed, Aberdeen's head of European high yield. He will help manage a range which includes the recently-launched Aberdeen High Yield Bond fund as well as the €293m Aberdeen Global European High Yield Bond fund. Pakenham was previously co-manager on the Henderson £203m High Yield Monthly Income and £496m Fixed Interest Monthly Income funds, as well as lead manager of Henderson's £137m Extra Monthly Income Bond fund, having taken over from James Gledhill earlier this year.
