The US is in much worse shape than Japan and could face three to four decades of slow-growth, Jim Rogers told the BBC today.
The US investor and financial commentator made his comments as US Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke prepares to deliver a speech on the ailing US economy. Investors will be eagerly awaiting any hints towards further stimulus, as data earlier this month pointed to continuing sluggish growth in the US and Europe. Economists have likened the US' situation to the notorious lost decade experienced by Japan. "I hope it is only one decade of loss that we lose in America.
