Sanlam hires ex-Titan man for funds arm

Sanlam Fund Solutions has hired Titan Fund Management's former CIO Barry Cowen to head up the investment team on its UK retail fund range.

Cowen, who has worked at firms including Societe' Generale Investment Management and Belgian group George Petch International, will be responsible for managing the existing range of retail products, as well as for developing new ones. Hugh Titcomb, chief executive at Principal Investment Management which owns Sanlam Fund Solutions and manages the fund range, said Cowen's appointment will strengthen the group's investment proposition.
