Fidelity to bring Global Real Assets fund to UK

Fidelity is to launch an onshore version of Amit Lodha's $250m Global Real Asset Securities fund in response to investor demand for tangible assets.

The onshore offering will be a mirror of the existing offshore fund, launched in September 2009, and will hold  50-70 stocks.  Playing on companies with pricing power at different points in the economic cycle, the fund will invest in stocks underpinned by real assets across the energy, materials, industrials, real estate and utilities sectors. Lodha seeks pricing power from commodities, shipping rates, industrial goods prices, real estate companies and other sources.
