Prudential executives are set to be interviewed in the coming days as part of an FSA probe into the insurance giant's failed takeover bid for AIA.
The inquiry into the botched £23bn takeover of Prudential's Hong Kong-based rival is being handled by law firm Clifford Chance on behalf of the FSA, reports Sky News. Its inquiry will focus on whether Prudential gave the FSA sufficient notice of its intention to bid for AIA - at the time owned by US insurer AIG - and whether it was appropriately structured, added Sky.
