Santander AM poaches HSBC's head of credit

HSBC's Azim Meghji has joined Santander Asset Management as head of credit and manager of the £977m Sterling Corporate Bond fund.

At HSBC he had overall responsibility for all the firm's credit investment funds in London, including sterling, US and global credit products for both the retail and institutional market. During his tenure there, he ran the HSBC UCITS III Sterling Corporate Bond fund and the flagship $1.3bn HSBC Global High Income fund, among others.
