Threadneedle has hired Martin Currie global equities manager Neil Robson to run its Global Focus SICAV.
Robson was co-manager of Martin Currie's £55m Global Alpha fund and £38m Global fund, and will join Threadneedle next month. He becomes the eighth member of Threadneedle's global equity team and will report to head of global equities Jeremy Podger. Prior to joining Martin Currie in 2010, Robson was head of global equities at Pioneer Asset Management, having previously worked as a European and global equities manager at Barings AM.
