Evershed court battle with Henderson kicks off

Ex-New Star fund manager Patrick Evershed has started his case for constructuve dismissal against his former employer.

Evershed launched his lawsuit after claiming New Star founder John Duffield bullied him prior to his dismissal back in late 2008. Last year Evershed was given the green light to pursue Henderson - New Star's new owners - for unfair dismissal and whistleblowing. According to reports the 70-year old fund manager is claiming over £1m in lost earnings. Evershed accused Duffield of bullying fund managers before leaving New Star.
