GLG has launched a Strategic Bond fund for Christophe Akel, who also runs the group's Global Corporate Bond fund.
The UK-domiciled UCITS fund will have an unconstrained strategy in terms of credit and duration, although it will be unable to take a fully negative duration position. "I am looking forward to running a strategy with this degree of flexibility, both across the credit universe and geographically," said Akel. "The current uncertain market environment has created challenges, but also opportunities for fixed income investing globally."
