Crispin Odey, the founder of Odey Asset Management, has said there are plenty of bargains to be had in 2012, after a "pretty horrible year" in 2011.
Hedge fund manager Odey, speaking to the Sunday Telegraph before Christmas, said the world had endured a tough 12 months as the problems of 2008 and 2009 resurfaced. "Last year, we were still in a world where we were hoping we were recovering from 2007/8 and hoping we might get out of it," he said. "I'm afraid this year (2011) was really about finding out that we were still very much locked in a lot of the issues that plagued 2009."
