UK equities could return 11% per annum for the next 10 years, fund group Neptune has said, as value stocks come to the fore.
Alex Breese, co-head of UK equities and manager of the group's £8m UK Special Situations fund said research carried out by the asset manager suggested a return to the early '90's when equities delivered similar returns. The research looked at historical relationships between styles, and currently indicates value stocks are set for a period of outperformance. The last time this happened it boosted UK equities for a prolonged period, Neptune said.
