Nimmo steps down from Scottish Widows fund

Standard Life Investments' Harry Nimmo has stepped down from running the Scottish Widows HIFML UK Smaller Companies Alpha fund as the group moves the management in-house.

The change will allow Nimmo to focus on the newly launched SLI Global Smaller Companies fund he runs with Alan Rowsell. The highly rated small-cap manager also runs the £1bn SLI UK Smaller Companies fund and the £140m Standard Life UK Smaller Companies trust. "My main job is the UK smaller companies funds which I would say takes up 75% of my time, while I spend the remaining 25% on the new global fund," Nimmo said.
