Furtado leaves Liontrust

Liontrust Asset Management has made Ian Furtado, the former head of sales at EM boutique Occam, redundant, Investment Week understands.

Furtado joined the firm along with two other sales personnel, David Shepherd and Edward Ford, when Liontrust acquired Occam in October in a £3.9m deal. Both Shepherd and Ford will remain with the firm covering international sales, Liontrust said. The news follows the announcement earlier this week Liontrust has acquired Walker Crips Asset Management for £12m, subject to approval. In the deal, managers Stephen Bailey, Jan Luthman and Jamie Clark will join Liontrust as well as the sales team members Paul Hyde and Will Smith.
