John Clougherty, chief executive of Aviva Investors' UK funds business, has left the group.
At the end of January, the group announced plans to close its European equities, emerging market, SRI and global equities desks, with the loss of up to 160 jobs. John Botham, head of the European desk, was made redundant following the changes. Aviva Investors said the restructure was a result of the economic downturn, which led to a reduced appetite for riskier assets, such as equities, notably in Europe.
