Smith & Williamson to launch global bond fund for Lynas

Smith & Williamson is to launch a global government bond fund for manager Chris Lynas this month.

The new fund, which will be domiciled in Dublin, will be able to invest in both index-linked and conventional government bonds. Lynas, a director at the firm, already runs the group's main fixed interest offerings, consisting of the Smith & Williamson Fixed Interest Trust, as well as the Short-Dated Corporate Bond fund. S&W's economist Robin Marshall will also play a role in the new fund, providing macro input.
