Former First State CEO joins Henderson for Australia push

First State UK CEO Rob Adams has joined Henderson Global Investors to spearhead its new Australian investment management business.

Adams will be tasked with building a standalone Australian fund management business, as Henderson aims to capture greater market share in the Asia Pacific region. Andrew Formica, (pictured), Henderson's chief executive, said the appointment is part of the group's move to create a scalable Australian business. "Henderson has an extensive history in Australia and a supportive shareholder base.
