Baring Asset Management will this week launch a new product for its head of Asian multi-asset, Khiem Do.
The Baring Asia Dynamic Asset Allocation fund, which comes to market on 31 May, will aim to produce Asian equity-like returns but with lower volatility. The manager will invest across a range of asset classes including equities, bonds, commodities, currencies, property, and derivatives, with no formal limits on any one asset, the group said. Do will be able to significantly reduce the Asian exposure and invest outside the region in certain market conditions, in order to minimise risk.
