Marlene Shalton is to spearhead a project by Guardian Wealth Management to become a major force in financial planning in the UK.
Shalton, who recently resigned after five years with Bluefin, will become managing director of financial planning practice at the company from 1 September. Ahead of Shalton's arrival, Guardian plans to launch new UK headquarters in Cardiff. It is putting together plans to recruit more than 130 advisers over the next five years.
