M&G poaches BlackRock fixed income head for risk role

M&G Investments has hired BlackRock's Michelle Scrimgeour as group risk director as Les Scrine retires from the role after almost 30 years of service.

Scrimgeour, who will join M&G on 11 June, was previously co-head of fixed income business management at BlackRock, and a member of the executive committee heading the group's $1trn BGI/BlackRock fixed income division. "Michelle brings a wealth of highly relevant and practical experience to M&G," said M&G chief executive Michael McLintock. Sitting on the M&G board and reporting to McLintock, Scrimgeour will replace Les Scrine as the latter retires from the company. Scrine joined M&G as an actuary in 1982 and became group risk director in 2003.
