Henderson's Bennett: Why I'll raise personal Euro equity weight to 85%

Henderson's John Bennett said European equities are in the very late stages of a bear market, providing "once in a generation" opportunities to buy the asset class.

The director of European equities said he has upped his personal equity exposure in the region from 60% to 70% and is looking to take this level to 85%. "Things are likely to get worse for European equities in the short term but the opportunity is coming. Many super bears are now saying there are opportunities in Europe and I would agree. "We have been bearish since 1999 and we are now turning bullish as this is becoming a once in a generation opportunity to buy European equities."
