Neptune launches RDR-ready Defensive Managed fund

Neptune has launched a Defensive Managed fund as it becomes the latest fund group to unveil a lower risk offering.

The fund is managed by Neptune's Harriet Grieve, who has run the Neptune Cautious Managed fund since company founder Robin Geffen (pictured) handed over the reins in January 2011. Aiming to generate a combination of income and capital growth through conservative investment in a portfolio of bond and equities, the vehicle will sit in the IMA Mixed Investment 0-35% Shares sector. The sector requires eligible funds to hold a maximum of 35% in equities and a minimum of 45% in bonds or cash.
