Allianz Global Investors has hired a specialist infrastructure debt team to establish an investment grade debt platform.
The group said investors with long-duration liabilities are showing increased demand for investments offering better returns than government bonds, especially as some areas of the market, such as US treasuries, are now offering low to negative real returns.
