Ex-Threadneedle manager Andrew Holliman has revamped his investment process since joining Polar Capital to run its US offering, taking a less conservative approach on the more focused portfolio.
The £179m Polar Capital North America fund was set up in November last year specifically for Holliman (pictured) and co-manager Richard Wilson, after they were poached from Threadneedle. The duo ran Threadneedle's £1.6bn American fund for seven years. The Polar fund has returned 14.5% against a peer group gain of 12.5% since launch in sterling terms to 21 August.
