Balfour joins Martin Currie Pacific trust

Former Axa Framlington Japan fund manager Anja Balfour has joined the £248m Martin Currie Pacific trust, in a non-executive director role.

Balfour has 22 years experience in managing Far Eastern equity portfolios, having worked for Stewart Ivory, Baillie Gifford and Axa Framlington. In her most recent fund management role she managed the Axa Framlington Japan fund between 2004-2010. The Martin Currie Pacific trust is managed by Andrew Graham. On a three-year view the company has delivered an NAV return of 25%, below the Asia Pacific Including Japan sector's 37% return over the same time period, according to Winterflood.
