Man Group has joined forces with Japanese investment banking giant Nomura to launch a fixed income hedge fund aiming to deliver double-digit returns annually.
The Nomura Man Systematic Fixed Income fund, run by the Man Systematic Strategies (MSS) team, invests in swap markets, futures and currency markets. Headed by Andre Rzym, who joined MSS from Man's AHL division to lead the investment strategy, the fund will aim to avoid the pitfalls which hit many bond funds in times of market stress by refraining from leveraging its balance sheet.
